About Me

Serving Plattsburg with a focus on

growth, accountability, and decisions

that hold up.

I serve as Alderman of Ward 2 in Plattsburg, focused on decisions

that support responsible growth, protect property values, and

strengthen the community.

The goal isn't to make poplar decisions,

it's to make the right ones.

For the people living here now, and for

the future of Plattsburg.

How I Approach the Role

City decisions don't just affect today,

they shape what Plattsburg will look like years from now.

That's why I focus on:

Accountability - making sure

procedures are followed

Clarity - so residents understand

what's happening

Consistency- applying standards

fairly

If a decision can't stand up over time,

it shouldn't be made in the first place.

Planning & Zoning

Background

Before City Council, I served as Chairman of Planning & Zoning.

That role exposed where the system works,

and where it breaks down.

I worked on proposals like C2-N designed to:

Preserve historic homes

Support small business opportunities

Prevent properties from declining

of sitting unused.

Now on council, that experience is applied to

broader decisions that impact the entire city.

Current Focus

Right now, the focus is on moving

Plattsburg forward in a way that

actually works.

Expanding business growth

beyond downtown

Promoting tourism through controlled,

community-focused events

Exploring vendor-based event revenue (not applied to local businesses)

Making better use of city-owned

property.

Protecting the small-town character

people value

Growth isn't the goal by itself, the right kind

of growth is.

A Practical Approach

Plattsburg doesn't need complicated

ideas, it needs clear direction.

That means:

Supporting businesses instead of

pushing them out

Making decisions based on facts and

not misinformation

Focusing on long-term outcomes,

not short-term reactions

Not every decision will be popular. But every decision should be made for the right reasons.

Staying Connected

Clear communications matters.

That's why I created Plattsburg Voice to provide:

Direct updates

Clear explanations

A place for residents to stay informed

Because when people have the full picture,

the conversation changes.

PLATTSBURG VOICE

Clear updates. Local perspective.

No confusion.

VISIT PLATTSBURG VOICE

Outside the Council

I'm not just involved in Plattsburg.

I'm invested in it.

Currently still in the process of restoring an 1898 Victorian home we purchased.

My wife's family is one of the original

founding families in this town.

I've been actively involved in helping

improve Plattsburg's quality-of-life.

My son purchased his first home here.

My sister recently bought a home here.

My mother also chose to make

Plattsburg her home.

My grandmother is buried here in

the cemetery.

This isn't temporary. This is where our future is.
